percentage of school children learning to play four differetn musical instruments
The provided bar graph gives information about the proportion of pupil studying different musical instruments including Piano, Guitar, Drums and Violin in three years 2005, 2010 and 2015.
It is noticeable that, there was an upward trend in the figure for learner studying Piano, Guitar and Drums except for Violin. In addition, Piano and Guitar were the most common instrument of student while drum and violin were the choice of a small number of students.
In the fist year of the period, there was roughly 11% of pupil studying Piano compared to 10% of schoolchildren learning to play Guitar. But in 2010, the number of schoolchildren studying piano had increase by twofold and reached a peak at about 27% in 2015. Guitar also witnesses an increased to 9% in 2010 and become the most popular musical instrument for student n 2015 at around 40%.
In 2015, learning to play Drums was the choice of 5% student, while Violin is the choice of 9% schoolchildren. The figure for Drum remained unchanged until 2010 and then rose slightly to nearly 8% at the end of the period, while Violin witness a decreased in the number of learner from nearly 10% to under 5% at the end of the period
