Overall, we can clearly observe that there is an increase in the total number of tourists visiting a Caribbean island over the years. The total visitors are divided into two categories, visitors staying on cruise ships and visitors who stayed on island respectively.
The number of visitors who stayed on island remained unchanged from 2010 to 2011. Then, the number increased in 2012 and 2013. After that, the total number of visitors remained the same till 2017 except for 2016. During the year 2016, the total number had a decline. Around 1.5 million of visitors stayed on island during year 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 respectively.
As the total number of tourists visiting the island between 2010 and 2017 increased, the number of visitors staying on cruise ships increased as well. It was the highest in 2017 with around 2.5 million visitors staying on cruise ships while it was lowest with around 0.25 million visitors on 2010 and 2012.
