Overall, most of these countries spent vast majority of money on housing, with the exception of Japan. It is clear that the they used money for health care and clothing much less than remaining categories.
In 2009, the amount of money spent on housing in 4 countries were over 20%, with United State stood at the top of the list (more than 25%). Following this, category of food was ranked at second place, while Japan was the country spending the most amount of money for it, at around 22%, in contrast to US. Canada used their money mainly for housing and transporting.
In terms of health care and clothing, shares of expenditure of all these countries were below 7%. United Kingdom was the country that invested the least quantity of money in health care, being nearly 2 times lower than its spending on clothing.
