Overall, China took the first place in both categories of producing and consuming electricity, while Korea Rep. was placed last.
In 2014, there were 2 countries that had the most electrical production and usage. Placing first was China with the number of 5398 billion kWh electrical production as well as 5322 billion kWh electrical usage. Coming in close second was the United States. The country produced over 4000 billion kWh and consumed almost 400 billion kWh of electricity in the same year.
Russia, Japan and India respectively took the third, fourth and fifth place ranking with the amount of electricity generated and consumed varied from over 600 billion kWh to over 1000 billion kWh.
The sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth rank subsequently belonged to Canada, France, Brazil, and Germany with not that much of a difference between the quantity of electrical yielding and usage.
Korea Rep. in 2014 placed last in the ranking with only over 400 billion kWh of electricity made and used.
