line graph discription
The line graph illustrates the recycling rates of 4 types of material (Paper and cardboard, glass containers, Aluminum cans, and plastic) of one country between 1982 and 2010.
Overall, all figures grew with different percentages over the period. The recycling rates of paper and cardboard were the highest, followed by glass containers. Aluminum cans recycling experienced a noticeable increase while plastics were not recycled so many during the time.
In 1982, about 65% of paper and cardboard were recycled, then there was a fluctuation until it reached a peak at 80% in 1990. However, from then on, the figure declined gradually to 70 in 2010. Half of glass containers were recycled in 1982, this figure dropped to 40% in 1990 but then grew steadily from 40% to 60 % by 2010.
only about 5% Aluminum cans were first recycled in 1986, however, the figure kept rising rapidly and reach a maximum of 45 % by 2010. In contrast, plastics recycling rates stayed stably but slowly, just risen from 5% at the beginning in 1990 to about 10% in 2010.
