The table provides information about how many hectars of forested area were available in various regions in the world. Overall, it is readilly apparent that South Africa were loosing the highest number of vegetation area in the world.
In the innitial year, forested are in Europe was 989 million hectares, increasing by 10 million hectares in 2000, and in the final reported year, Europe was a place where the biggest vegetation area could be found (1001 million hectars). South America was second where trees were grown in 946 million hectares of land. This region, however, lost 64 million hectars of forested land in the following periods. Africa and North America were innitially had almost similar number of vegetation land (749 and 708 million hectares, respectively). While Africa lost 40 million hectars of vegetation arean In the next decade, North America's vegetation area was only wiped out for about 3 million hectares. Then, the number of vegetation area in North America remained stable, while, Africa lost 10 million hectars of its forested land in the final year.
Asia had also a significan number of forest area in 2000 (576 million hectars), decreasing by about 6 million of heactars in the next given, and in 2005, the vegetation area could only be found in 584 million hectars of land. Additionally, Oceania was originally had the smallest number of vegetation area compared to other regions and this unchanged throghout the period.
