You are having a graduation party next Saturday night. You have invited 50 people to celebrate at an outdoor barbecue evening, which may continue till late night.
Write a letter to your elderly neighbour. In your letter:
explain what will be happening
offer your apologies in advance
invite him/her to visit your house someday
Dear Mrs. Patel,
I am writing this letter to abreast you about a graduation party which will be celebrated at my residence coming Saturday. This get together may last till late night.
There will be a gathering of 50 people who happen to be my university friends. Since we have completed our degree from the University, so we have decided to have celebrations in my outer lawn which is right next to your living room. There will be some outdoor games, drinks and dinner, therefore it is natural that people out there will make noise while playing. The music will also be played which might disturb you.
I understand that you are a senior citizen and may get disturbed by the crowd and loud music. I AM EXTENDING My sincere apologies for this in advance. I know it will be little difficult for you to bear this but I am sure you will empathize with us as the reason to celebrate is very obvious. I shall take care of the things to the extent possible so that you and your family are not affected much. Once again, I apologise for the inconvenience that may be caused to you.
Further, I would like to invite you and Mr. Patel to my house at any day and time convenient to you as I have been observing that both of you are very fond of children and somewhere my kids feel the warmth in your touch. Their grandparents are not staying with us so if you drop in some day, we all can have quality time to spend.
Yours Sincerely,
Navpreet
