The bar chart illustrates the percentage of the population living in urban areas in Africa, Asia and Latin America/ Caribbean in the years of 1950, 2000 and the future projection to 2050. Overall, the percentage of people living in urban cities in all three increased in all three countries. However, Latin American/ Caribbean is significantly increased among three countries, while America lowest until 2000.
Look at the bar chart in the first year of 1950. It can be seen that the percentage of people living in urban areas in Latin America/ Caribbean was highest among the three countries at about 41%. Meanwhile, the growth of urban population in Africa and Asia remained lowest below 35% including about 21% and 30%. However, after 50 years later in 2000, the growth of urban population in Africa and Asia changed and was stable from 21% to 31% ( meaning higher than in the first year 10% in Africa). The growth of urban population in Asia higher than Africa 2% is 33%. In contrast, the percentage of people living in urban areas in Latin America/ Caribbean was still highest among the three countries, about 51%.
Look at the bar chart in the future projections of 2030. The percentage of people living in cities is more and more higher and especially in Africa and Asia significantly increased. First, the percentage of urban population in Latin America/ Caribbean from 51% to 61%. The growth of urban population in America and Asia has a small similarity about 43% and 41%. The growth of urban population is higher than in capital city and development in other countries in the future.
