The mixed chart illustrates the time allocated to domestic responsibilities and recreation pursuits among men and women residing in the United Kingdom during the year 2018.
Overall, it can be seen that women predominantly allocated their time towards the procurement of essential household items, completing laundry activities, and meal preparation. Conversely, men allocated a greater proportion of their time towards the maintenance and repair their time towards the maintenance and repair of household equipment. Both genders showed a preference for indoor entertainment activities, such as watching television, videos, and listening to the radio. In contrast, activities such as reading books or engaging in sports were found to be less favored by both groups.
Look at the first chart about the time spent to housework activities between the man and women in United Kingdom in 2008. It can be seen that the minutes of women spent for shopping and clothing washing or cooking is highest ( 41 minutes and 60 minutes) and lowest was fixing and repairing. Meanwhile, the action have many men tends to spent the time is that fixing and repairing, it is also depends on the good health of men ( have the same time with cooking and washing up) 40 minutes. Finally, the lowest in that chart is shopping ( 5 minutes).
In the bar chart in 2008 about the time spent to leisure activities. Men tends to increase the number. First, the first activity ( television, radio, video) of men and women were stable ( 175 and 158 minutes). However, the two last activities ( books and sport exercise) not too much difference it was 18 and 20 minutes with book and finally 15 and 11 minutes. So, we can see clearly the favored activities of men and women in this country.
