In this set of material, the reading states that Dib bees could have not been 200 million years ago on the Earth. It brings three reasons that discovered fossil structures that resemble bee nests in Arizona are related with modern bees, however the professor find all reasons suspicious and provides some evidence to advocate that these bees have existing in 200 million years ago. The information the professor provides contradicts the fact outlined in the passage.
First, the reading claims that any fossil bee has not found, in contrast the lecture argues that the fossils of bees usually preserve by a resin which the trees produces it. It is possible that in 200 million years ago, these types of trees had not evolved; as a result there was not any resin to preserve the fossils of bees.
Second, the author of reading contends since bees feed on flower plants and there were not any flowering plants in 200 million years ago, so this theory is not being accepted, on the contrary the professor declares that early bees could have fed on Non-flowering plants like fern or pin tree and after evolution of these plants to flowering plants, they have adapted to this kind of diet.
Third, the reading passage proposes that these found structures in Arizona have created by modern bees due to lack of some chemical composition in them, conversely the professor refutes this and express that in the fossils bees discovered a chemical material like waterproof substance, surprisingly when researchers analyzed modern bees, these substance found in them.
