The given pie chart displays the factors behind degradation of land and it is clear that over-grazing of cattle is the main reason for this problem. From the table we can see that this factor had a huge impact on Oceania as more than 10% of its land got degraded by over-grazing. Europe is not far behind Oceania as 5.5% of its land has been affected by this followed by North America whose 1.5% land is degraded by over-grazing.
Deforestation also plays a vital role in degrading land and it is evident from the table that almost 10% of Europe's land has been degraded by it. In North America and Oceania, deforestation has not affected much of the land with just 0.2% and 1.7% of the land respectively getting reduced in quality.
Over-cultivation is another catalyst for this issue. The problem of over-cultivation does not exist for Oceania but definitely affects Europe and North America as 7.7% and 3.3% of land got degraded respectively due to excessive cultivation.
It can be inferred from the table that in Europe almost a quarter of the total land has been degraded by the aforementioned three factors as well as some other factors. Oceania can still cope up with this issue as it has still more than 85% of the land that is not degraded. North America is in a better condition than rest of the two as only 5% of its land has degraded. It seems some of the environmental policies are working really well for North America.
