The diagram below shows the average hours of unpaid work per week done by people in different categories. (Unpaid work refers to such activities as childcare in the home, housework, and gardening.)
The supplied graph contrast the data of men and women of a number of hours spent in unpaid work of a week. At a fleeting glance, it is noticeable that among all the three categories, a married woman does more pay less work.
As is observed from the graph, ladies who do not have any children spend almost 30 hours of a week while this proportion is almost twice in the case of 3+ adolescents. This workload is probably due to extra load of household and juvenile's responsibilities. However, even a mother of 1-2 kids invested around 50 hours in unpaid work.
Switching to the unsalaried work of males which does not show any significant variations at all. In fact, it is observed that a father of 3 children spends least hours in unrewarded work as compared to the without and 1-2 children. This might be because of the high requirement to the commitment of jobs because of financial gains to fulfill the basic necessities.
All in all, committed women do almost double household unpaid work as contrasted to the men.
