You have recently enrolled in a part-time course in a university. Write a letter to the dean about something you are not pleased with.
> describe your course
> express your feelings about the course
> give suggestions regarding what the university should do
Dear sir,
I am not content with the part-time course that I have recently enrolled in. I am writing this letter to express my complaints and request you to take measures to tackle the issue.
The course is mainly about a variety of complex algorithms that are beneficial to the enhancement of our logical thinking skills. However, the majority of students have difficulty in assimilating such a large amount of information. In addition, the course also overemphasizes on theories or conceptual knowledge, which plays no role in enhancing our practical skills. As a consequence, numerous students find the course tedious, thereby having inadequate concentration in the class.
In light of such facts, I would like to suggest you to make the course more compelling and less difficult. For instance, the course should provide students with a more specific account of how the algorithms are applied in the real world. Furthermore, some advanced knowledge ought to be removed, as the information has no implication for future employment.
I hope that the situation will be dealt with as soon as possible. If you require further information, you can contact me by email.
Yours sincerely,
David.
