The author presents three solutions to protect the birds from the striking. Whereas, the lecturer indicate that author none of the solution to prevent the injury.
Firstly, the article implies that one way glass is transparent in one direction. The bird cannot see window and change the direct. In contrast with this, the lecturer mentions that regular glass replace by one way glass is not workable because of birds are see outside reflect the mirror which is harm to the birds. Reflection of the sky and the trees cannot understand the birds. As result, they are try fly in to through the mirror.
Secondly, the passage emphasizes that colorful designs and paint strip help to birds to avoid the fly through the mirror. On the contrary with this, the speaker explains that colorful and painted glass in which open hole to bird are try to fly on this extremely narrow space, People easily understand but birds not understand this opening of the designs.
Thirdly, the author states that create artificial magnetic field on the mirror which is help to birds to navigate the other direction from the mirror. The birds have power ability to navigate by the magnetic field. On the other hand, the professor points out that bird only use magnetic field for long distance travel such as in winter birds migrate cold to warm areas. But, birds cannot use magnetic field for short distance traveling such as one city to other city, in that time birds uses eye and day lights.
