School children are becoming far too dependent on computers. This is having an alarming on reading and writing skills. Teachers need to avoid using computers in the classroom at all cost and go back to teaching basic study skills. Agree or disagree?
In changing world, technological devices such as cell-phones and computers altered people’s lives dramatically. Obviously, it became inevitable and conventional mostly in adolescent’s current life. Even, it has an enormous place as a crucial material in schooling process too. There are some who hold the opinion that its advantages are more highlighted whereas others share a different point of view. In my case, the two major reasons of its opportunities are about its infinite data recourse and its efficacy.
The people who argue that its advantages are more significant have some notable arguments. To begin with, computers can be defined as infinite data resources. Due to this, we cannot deny its importance on having information about relevant current subjects, which are being showed during courses. Speaking of, teachers ought to use computers as sources of knowledge. By the help of it, they can support their ideas and they can easily persuade students. For instance, they can show a video related to current subject. Moreover, the main purpose is to have an effective course. So, teachers should use visual and audio sources such as explanative videos. To get rid of students to be overwhelmed, these videos will be very useful. Otherwise, students can feel exhausted and annoyed.
On the other hand, there are more compelling reasons which demonstrate that it has disadvantages too. Adolescents can have concentration problems. Computer can inhibit them from focusing. For example, during completing their homework they can receive an instant disturbing massage from a friend. Besides, since the computers correct automatically the spelling, they might not pay attention in it such in their paper based works. Computers can be mistaken in hand writing.
Thus, as we recognized computers have multiple influences on student’s education lives. All in all, in my point of view; it advantages are more significant rather than its disadvantages.
