the graph below shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in three different countries.
The line graph provides information about the percentage of people who is 65 years old and higher in population from 1940 to 2040 in three different nations, namely Japan, Sweden and USA.
It is also worth noting that while the proportion of the old individuals in population in Japan was lower than the other countries, that figure is expected to climb steeply and beat Sweden's and USA's one. After achieving 5% in 1940, the percentage of the population aged 65 and over in Japan decreased minimally in the next two decades, followed by a considerable increase in the period between 1960 and 2030. Suprisingly, that item is expected to rocket to 27% in the end of the period. Furthermore, there was a significant fluctuation in the proportion of the retired individuals in Sweden from 1940 to 2040. Besides, the first 40 years witnessed a considerable rise in the percentage of the old American. By contrast, that figure declined moderately in the next four decades, before increasing markedly to 23% in 2040.
