Essay topics:

The diagram shows how alcohol is distilled through a set of apparatus.

The given picture illustrates the method of alcohol distillation through a set of apparatus.

The apparatus for distilling alcohol are kept on a base. A tripod ith a flask on it is kept. A bunsen burner to heat the mixture is used and is kept under the tripod. A thermometer is fixed with the flask through a cork which is also air tight. A flask is also connected with a condenser having an input and output area for water. The condenser ends at the beaker to collect pure alcohol.

The solution of alcohol and water is filled in a flask which is kept on a tripod. The solution is heated by burner. The vapour is stopped from going out of the flask by an air tight cork and the temperature at hich the vapour is formed is noted by a thermometer. The vapour is automatically sent to the condenser by a pipe connected with the flask. The pipe is between the flow of cool water. The cold water cools the vapour and changes the vapour to liquid state.Alcohol vapour is condensed and liquid droplets are formed these droplets are droped inside a beaker and pure distilled alcohol if obtained.

Thus, with this procedure the mixture of water and alcohol can be distilled and pure alcohol is obtained. The water is burnt by the heat and alcohol is cooled by cold water is the main idea of the process.
