The line graph gives an information about the amount of acid rain emissions for various sectors that produced over the 17-years period in the UK, measured in millions tones
It is clear that the total amount of acid rain emissions fell every year in four sectors in the UK. And the most dramatic was seen in the electricity, gas and water supply sector.
In 1991, the electricity, gas and water supply sector had the highest affect about producing acid rain emissions, at almost 3,5 million tonnes, while the figure for the domestic sector was by far lowest, at roughly 0,5 million tonnes. Almost 0,7 million tonnes of the transport and communication sector, compared to more than 2 million tonnes of other industries.
Emissions for electricity, gas and water supply fell significantly to only exactly 0,5 million tonnes in 2007. While acid rain gases form the domestic sector and other industries fell gradually, the transport sector saw a small increase in emissions, reached a peak of 1 million tones in 2005.
