Writing task 1 (a letter)

You are going on a short holiday soon and would like to invite a friend to join you. Write a letter to him/her and say

– Explain why you need a holiday.
– Explain why you want your friend to come.
– Where and when do you want to go?

Dear Priya,
Hope you are doing great with your health and spirit. I am writing this letter to invite you for a short trekking holiday at Saputara.

As you know I was busy in my IELTS exam preparation and my office so I didn't get a chance to go for a holiday but now I am done with IELTS exam and very tired with a hectic routine. To have some relaxation, fun and adventure I have decided to enroll my self for Trekking camp organised by one of the NGO in my town for Saputara which involves 2 nights/3 days tour including traveling cost and meals. I know you have keen interest in adventures so I decided to invite you for this holiday. It would be great if you can take a break from your busy schedule and join us. I have enrolled but not booked the date yet but 4 dates are available 11th August, 17th August, 21st August and 29th August so please write back to me which date you prefer so based on that I can book seat for both of us. However, I preferred 21st August because of weekend we both will not have any issue of leave from our current organisation.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards
Divya
