National Curriculum that means you are indeed standardizing the curriculum, so this standardization would be plausible and would make sense if the Nation is smaller in terms of population and size. If the nation size is big then this recommendation wouldn't be the best bet. So the recommendation is limited and applicable to only some scenarios.
In some nations like Nepal, Italy or Pakistan, where there isn't much diversity in the people in terms of language, customs, ethnicity, religion. So formulating the standardized curriculum would be easy and wouldn't be much friction among the people accepting the Idea. For example, In a nation like Nepal, where people follow Buddhism, so incorporating the Buddhism would be feasible and accepted by people. In the same way, bringing the Islamic principles in the curriculum and standardizing it would be plausible and accepted by people of Pakistan.
However, this idea wouldn't help in case of Nations like India, United States etc. because of diversity. For example, Yoga which considered to a tool for inner engineering and tool for enlightenment, considered in some way it is associated with the Hindu Religion. So in a school in Chennai, the curriculum includes the Yoga as a part of Curriculum, but by doing so the school has broken the headlines for forcefully imposing the Hinduism. So to implement this to the whole nation, based on prior example, it is quite sure that isn't plausible. So more diverse the people are, the perceptions are different so making the standardized format would be difficult and it becomes some kind of enforcement on the people.
By standardizing, you won't be specific and contextual anymore. Suppose consider the Nation like India, which has about 28 states and about 1000 plus language. And each region as specific history and background. So when you're standardizing then you won't talk about anything about historical significance about that region anymore but overall country. Then connecting the dots would be difficult. I feel that you can only connect if you specific and contextual.
So I would be that given recommendation would be plausible only in some scenarios and so the recommendation is limited.
