The Line graph provides information about the amount of energy utilized by US people since 1980 with the projection until 2030 according to a 2008 report. The units are measured in quadrillion.

Overall, the greatest quantity of used energy is petrol and oil. Coal and natural gas have the similar pattern until 2015. Then both are fluctuated in different way. Nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower also people have been using but least. However, the line graph shows same trend in the use of energy.

It can be seen that, the petrol and oil have the some fluctuations in the units, in the first fifteen year from 35q units to dropped to around 33q units beg a significant climb to approximately 47q units in 2030.

Similarly, after an unstable changing from 20q units, in 1980 to 25q units, in 2015. The figure of natural gas will stay stable until 2030. Whereas, coal had slow increase from 15q to less than 20q units between 1980 and 1990. Further more, in 1995, it had a sharp peak considerably more than 20q units. Moreover, this usage will have reached just over 30q units until 2030. In addition, US people have been consuming nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower energy but less than 10 quadrillion units throughout the period. However, according to a 2008 report, use of petrol and oil is highest, coal and natural gas in average, nuclear, solar/wind and hydropwer use is least.
