How do movies or television influence people’s behavior? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.

Media have always influenced people’s behavior. It plays an important role in our daily routine. There are some educational movies, cartoon films and movies on fairy tales. Some of them are inspiring, motivational and entertaining. There are some violent, horror and action movies also. The daily news on television is important too. People watch them daily and they are very addictive.

Every movie has different effect on people. It has become an integral part of our daily life. For children there are number of educational movies like Disney, fairy tales etc that helps children to learn number of things like how to write, learn alphabets etc. Cartoon movies are inspirational too children learn to how to be helpful, caring and respect their elders. Fairy tale movies show some amazing things, which broaden the outlook of the children by using their own imagination power.

Some movies are based on motivation. People get motivation from these movies to move forward in their life. My most favorite motivational movie is Lakshya, it’s a movie of about an army person who has no goal in his life. His father is a businessman. But later when his girl friend encouraged him to have some goal in his life. So, he decided to join military academy and got selected. It was an inspirational movie for me. There are number of other inspirational movies which has a great impact on the people. People learn from these movies and try to implement in their daily life.

There are number of horror and action movies also. These movies teach us how to be strong and bold. They are very entertaining also. In addition these movies have some disadvantages also. People become violent and use bad behavior with their parents especially children and in the society.

Daily news on television keeps us up-to date with whatever is going around in the world as well as in our surroundings. Electronic media plays an important role in influencing people’s behavior.

Last but not the least, television has lot of disadvantages also. With the advancement of technology new TVs are coming to attract people with different features. It has Skype, facebook, Internet, 3D and big screens etc that was earlier only on computers and 3D and big screens in theatre only. It has badly effect on the eyes of people and the rays of the color tv is not good for the human eyes.

To conclude, television has both advantages and disadvantages. It is for the parents to be cautious when children’s are watching violent movies and they should see that it should not become an addiction for them. People should learn good things from the television.
