Overall, the amount of wheat shipping in Australia decreased over time, while Canada and European Community witnessed an upward trend despite several fluctuations.

In detail, in 1985, Canada won the first place at approximately 19 million tons, European Community was the runner up and finally, 15 million tons were traded by Australia. From 1985 to 1986, both Canada and European Community experienced a slight drop of about 3 million tons, while the remaining nation managed to rise to the second place in total.

Between 1986 and 1989, the quantity of wheat exporting in three nations had some significant fluctuation. The oscillation appeared most in wheat trading of Canada, which surged to reach the peak at 25 million tons and quickly declined to the bottom point. Meanwhile, Australia had a gradual fall and European Community experienced a slow increase. After one year, Canada and European grew to 21 and 18 respectively but Australia continued to drop to more than 10 millions.
