The four pictures illustrate the natural process of erosion of a headland. There are four stages that can be seen.

Firstly, weak areas rock eroded. This is the most simple, the earliest beginning of eroded headland. As the waves hit the ground of the headland, it becomes weaker and eventually falls down into pieces.

The second stage is the part when people usually can see the obvious evidence of erosion of cliffs near ocean. This stage shows how water beats have shaped a cave. This cave becomes arch at it can be observed as durdle, door and dorset.
