These two pie charts demonstrate of Japan and Malaysia’s household expenditures on different categories such as housing, transport, food, health care and other goods and services for 2010. In overall, Japanese household has spent the most on other goods and services whereas in Malaysian’s household has spent on housing during the same period.
The great portion in Malaysia is for housing, which contributes of 34% of total country’s expenditure whereas in Japan’s housing expenditure is worth 21% of total country’s spending. Japan’s biggest expenditure is on other goods and services, which proportioned of 29% of total country’s spending. In comparison, the proportion of other goods and services in Malaysia have distributed only 26% of total household’s expenditure.
The transportation expenditure in Malaysia is only one in tenth of their expenditure, which figure is doubled in Japan. The lowest categories for both countries are for health care, which has recorded as 3% and 6% in Malaysia and Japan respectively
