The chart illustrates how the proportion of adults who used the Internet changed in many age groups from 15-65+ years old over a period of 4 years in UK.
In general, what stands out from the graph is the age group of 15-25 registered the highest proportion during 4 years. It is also clear to see that the percentage of group of the 15-25 years old was 9 times as high as that of 65 and above.
The percentage of the 15-25 age group experienced a slight increase during 4 years, a jump of around 0.1%. A same pattern could be seen in a group of 25-35 and 65+ when a growth to 4.4% and under 0.5% respectively.
By 2006, the group of 35-45 years old had experienced a significant increase to 3.25%. In the meantime, a dramatic increase of 0.25% could be seen in the group of 45-55 years old. The figure for the age group of 55-65 increased significantly from 1.5% to 1.75% in 4 years.
