The provided bar diagram illustrates the data about the percentage of the rate of illiteracy of males and females in six different regions including Developed Countries, Latin America, East Asia, Sub-Sahara Africa, Arab States, and South Asia for the last year.
Overall, it can be obtained that women are more illiterate than men in all regions. The majority of women in the Arab States and South Asia are not educated whereas South Asia has the largest uneducated females. While most of the regions exhibit huge distinct illiteracy rates among men and women, Developed Countries and Latin America have the lowest differences.
Examining the dataset of males in more detail, it is clear that South Asia has the largest number of uneducated men, which is approximately 35%. Arab States and Sub-Saharan Africa have almost equal percentages of illiteracy males, that is 28% and 31% respectively. East Asia (8%), Latin America (10%), and Developed Countries (1%) have a minority of uneducated men whereas the Developed Countries have the lowest percentage among all regions.
Turning the dataset for females, it is evident that the Arab States and South Asia have the majority of women who are illiterate, which is 55% and 52%, whereas South Asia has the highest percentage of illiterate women community that is highest among all data in the graph. On the other side, Developed Countries displayed an excellent rate of women who are not educated, which is 2%.
