The bar chart below shows the numbers of men and women attending various evening courses at an adult education centre in the year 2009 The pie chart gives information about the ages of these course participants

The first chart indicates the numbers of male and female enroll in four evening courses: drama, paiting, sculpture, language at classes for aldult in 2009, while the second one illustrates the age ranges of people who take part in these couses.
Overall, women tended to participate in different courses more than men did. It is noticeable that the number of alduts at the age of 50 or over sign in these evening couses was higher than any other ages.
In 2009, around 25 males enrolled in courses about painting, this figure for language courses was slight lower, at 20 men. The numbers of males learnt about drama and sculpture was equal with about 10 people. Also in that year, there were 40 females chose to learn language, which doubled the figure for men. The only course that the number of women was less than the number of man was sculpture course, with only 5 people. While, the figure of women for classes about drama and painting was 20 and 30 respectively.
Turning to the ages of these participants, we can see that people who is 50 or over are likely to take the these evening course, with 42%, followed by the group of 40 to 49 years old, this make up 26%. The proportion of people aged from 20 to 39 is nearly 15% and the lowest percentage accounted for is the age under 20, with only 5%.
