The bar graph gives information about the difference in frequency of doing exercises among Australian men and women in a diversity of age in 2010. Overall, it is obvious that the percentages of females in different age groups doing physical activity was recorded higher than the figures for males, except for the range of 15 to 24 year-old.
It can be seen that for the age group from 15 to 24, Australian men had a higher rate of doing exercises than females’ with the distance of approximately 5%. However, the tendency was reversed from the age of 25 year-old when male’s figures significantly decreased from 52.8% to 42.2% and there was a slight increase in the female’s rate. The trend was magnified in the middle age group.
According to the data given in the chart, the tendency changed for the age groups over 45. The number of men practicing outdoor activity in Australia gradually rose with age, while the figures for females witnessed a flop from 45 to over 65 year-old group. In addition, both 65-and-over-aged men and women had the relative rates of exercise frequency at 46.7% and 47.1%, respectively.
