The bar chart illustrates the percentage of Australian men and women of different age groups who were doing regular physical activity in 2010.
Overall, Women of every age group are having approximately the same involvement in physical activities irrespective of the men whose percentages are varying vividly according to the age group.
Most of the males between the age of 15 to 24 are the one that are doing most of the physical activities and reaching up to a percentage of 52.8%. This interest percentage is decreasing for males as the age is increasing, they fell down to 42.2% and 39.5% for age groups 25 to 34 and 35 to 44 respectively. The percentage is quite increased for males of 45 to 54 by about 4%, which kept on increasing as the age factor is increasing and landed to 46.7% for the males of 65 and above.
Females on the other hand were having less interest for doing any physical exercise at the age of 15 to 24. This followed a continuous increase in the interest level for physical activities as the age of females is growing, landing to being 48.9 % for the age group 25 to 34 and 52.5% for the ones who are in the group of 35 to 44. After this specific age the interest percent is following a constant pace of being around 53% for age group of 45 to 64. But, for the women having age of 65 and above the interest percentage fell diversely to 47.1%.
