Overall, the percentage increased in all groups over this period . Also, The 55-64 age group was by far the most common age that people tend to live alone.There were considerable upward trends of 55-64 and 47-54 age group.
Looking at the year 1950 and 2000, the data for 55-64 age group rose from around 9 percent to slightly under 17 percent . There was a rise by nearly 6 percent in 47-54 age group.In 1950 , the percentage of people from 27 to 36 years old was 0.4 percent less than that of 37-46 group.After half of a decade , it rose significantly to 8 percent which was 4 percent higher than that of 37-46 group.
Moving to 1850 to 1990 , USA witnessed insignificant roses by around 3 percent for the proportion of 47-54 and 55-64 group.Over this period, The data for 37-46 group remained unchanged at nearly above 2 percent.After 50 years , while the figure for people from 17-26 still did not exist, that for 27-36 group appeared at 2.3 percent in 1990.
