The chart gives the information about the usage and production of electricity in the top ten countries in the year of 2014.
It is clear that China ranked the first, both in electricity production and consumption. On the contrary, Korean was in the last place in both terms among these ten countries.
Obviously, Chinese consumers used the most electricity in 2014 (5,322 billion kWh), over ten times of that in Canada. Next came to the US, in which citizens consumed around 4 trillion kWh. Russian was in the third place (1,038 billion kWh), while the figures in other seven countires like Japan and India were all below 900 billion kWh.
As for electricity production, China gained the first place again, with 5,398 billion kWh. However, United States ranked second on the list (4,099 billion kWh), which was about 2,800 billion kWh more than Russian. It is noticeable that Germany saw a difference comparing to other countries, that its amount of electricity consumed was superior to the figure it produced.
