The bar chart shows the number of students who studied distinct subjects at university stage between 96-97 and 00-01.
Overall, the number of students preferring medicine and dentistry, biology sciences increased over the period as opposed to the reduction of those in engineering and technology, physical sciences. The most popular branch was engineering whereas the least popular one was medicine and Dentistry.
In 1996, computer sciences was chosen by nearly 7500 students that is equal to the value of physical sciences. During the period, the number of students enrolling computer sciences department raised gradually by 40 percent and in 2001 12000 students constitute department. Thus, computer sciences reached Engineering. In this period biology sciences increased by 15000 students to 95000 students.
In the first three years, physical remained stable but there was a slight drop in 1999 and it stayed constant at 70000. However, Medicine and Dentistry had a slight rise and climbed to 45000 from 40000 university students.
