Overall, what stands out from the graph is that Sweden experiences a downward trend, whereas the figure for Finland shows an increase throughout the period.
In 2011, regarding Sweden’s divorce, its rate was about 45%, is higher than the percentage of Finland, by 7%. Subsequently, this number saw significant growth, with the figure reached a peak in 2012, about 49%. However, the figure gradually declines in 2013, about 47%, and continued to fall steadily to the end of the period, reaching around 45% in 2014 and hitting a low-point in 2015, approximately 37%.
As for the breaking up marriages in Finland, this number less than in 2011, just only 38% and it showed a considerable drop to the lowest in the next year, just about 32%. Nevertheless, the figure showed growth moderately before remaining steady between 2013 and 2015, from 39% to 42%, outpacing the rate of Sweden.
