The bar chart shows the percentages of the UK workforce in five major industries in 1841 and 2011.
The bar chart gives an analysis in the ratio of the UK working section in five industry fields in 1941 and 2011. It is notable that services almost hold the topmost choice among the major industries in the two observed years.
Initially, the employee proportion of services is reported to have steeply escalated to 81% while this statistic just stood at 33% in the mid-nineteen century. Likewise, worker sharing in construction made up 5% and experienced a marginal upward tendency to 8% in 2011.
On the contrary, manufacturing which accounted for 36% of workers was the most worker-attracting in the UK during the 1840s. This figure witnessed a dramatic decline dropping by three-fourth in the early twenty-first century. Besides, the manpower ratio of agriculture/fishery and energy/water respectively took up 22% and 3% in 1841. However, both of the areas above ended up bottomed the chart with 1% in 2011.
In brief, despite the fluctuations of the grand industries, energy/water always took up the tiniest percentage of manpower in the given years.
