The bar chart shows type of media to get daily news, by age group 2011
The bar chart illustrates three types of media to update the daily news of five different age groups in 2011. Overall, radio is the most popular way to get the news while that for microblogging was used less. Moreover, whereas social networking experienced an upward trend, that for radio witnessed a slight decrease but it still remained at first rate.
Starting with social networking. It is clear that the proportion of individuals from the age of 10 to 17 and 18 to 29 were outnumber that for other groups with 80%. Additionally, the figure for people using this media inclined constantly to nearly 25% at the age of over 65.
Moving to Radio and Microblogging. In the group of 10 to 17 years old, the proportion for the latter was 20%, which was the lowest while that for the former was nearly twice as high as this. Moving to people from 18 to 29 years old, the figure radio reached a peak of over 90% and that for its counterpart increased to 25%. In three remain group, the percentage of two media witnessed a similar trend.
