The bar chart gives the information about, how many houses built in a year in Derby and Nottingham cities from 2000 to 2009. Overall, the significant number of constructions were took place in 2009 than earlier years.
It is clear from the graph that, in 2000, the number of houses in Nottingham was nearly 50, whereas 40 number of houses built-in Derby city. Since the number of houses in Derby saw an increasing trend most of the time, it overlapped by Nottingham in the first 2 years. During 2003, the construction increased gradually and then it remained constant for the next four decades before increasing to 350 number in 2009.
Although more number of houses built-in Nottingham in the first two years compared to Derby, it saw some fluctuations in the following years. In 2005, the number of houses were considerably increased which was 3 times higher that of the number in 2002. In contrast to Derby, the construction works were minimal during 2006 and 2008. However, the number surpassed in the year 2007 before increasing to 250 in 2009.
In conclusion, the highest number of houses built-in in the Derby city, while the least numbers were recorded in Nottingham except in 2000, 2001 and 2007.
