The bar graph below shows the amount of carbon emission in different countries during the three different years. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given bar chart illustrates the data of carbon release in several nations from 1975 to 2005.
Overall, there are two opposite trends witnessed in the bar chart. The amount of carbon emission in usa came top of the list while canada and the united kingdom were on the other end of the scale during the same 30-year period.
As can be seen from the graph, an upward tendency was evident in most countries excepted for germany and the united kingdom. The figure for carbon production in the usa started at 1200000 thousand metric tones in 1975, followed by a significant rise of nearly 400000 thousand metric tones until 2005. The carbon emission in China increased from about 350000 thousand metric tones in 1975 to over 1550000 thousand metric tones in 2005, only 500000 thousand metric tones lower than in usa. In India, the data of carbon discharge witnessed a surge of over 4 times to 350000 thousand metric tones in 2005, compared with a slight growth in the figure for carbon release in canada (from 100000 to 180000 thousand metric tones)
In contrast, there was an opposite direction of the amount of carbn emission in germany and the united kingdom. The data of carbon discharge in germany stayed at the same level of nearly 300000 thousand metric tones between 1975 and 1990 before falling by 50000 thousand of metric tones in 2005. The same pattern was true in the united kingdom when the figure decreased slightly from 190000 to 180000 thousand metric tones during the same period of time.
