The carbon emission has been one of the most serious problem leading to environmental degradation. The bar graph depicts a clear picture of emissions in various countries, with respect to three different years.
USA and China has experienced drastic rise in carbon emission over years, With USA having highest amount of 1,200,000 in the year 1975, approximately 1,300,000 in the year 1990 and 1,600,000 metric tonnes in the year 2005, while China experiencing similar condition with it's peak emission rate of approximately 1,500,000 in the year 2005 and least of 300,000 in the year 1975.
Canada and India has undergone considerable rise, but less compared to the previous ones. With India having it's highest value of 350,000 metric tonnes in the year 2005 and least value of approx. 100,000 in the year 1975. On the other hand, Germany and United Kingdom has played a prominent role in maintaining their environment, by controlling carbon emission over increasing years from 1975 to 2005. Germany has been successful in reducing the emission rate from 200,000 in the year 1975 to 50,000 in the year 2005. Whereas United Kingdoms have both their highest and lowest emission rates of about 100,000 metric tonnes in 1975 and 2005.
Overall, we can say that developed countries have failed in controlling their environmental degradation, while constantly developing countries like Germany, United Kingdom, Canada and India have tried to maintain their emission rates.
