The bar chart depicts the proportion of individuals who visited the movie theaters on seven days of the week in a specific nation of Europe between 2003 and 2007.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately evident that there was a small fluctuation in people’s preferences for which day to go to the cinemas. Additionally, people in this country tended to see movies on the weekends rather than working days.
In 2003, 40% of movie-goers attended to cinemas on Saturday, compared to 30% on Friday and Sunday. On the other days, the proportion of peple going to cinemas was higher on Tuesday, at 20%, while the lowest figure can be seen on Monday, at only 10%.
By the next four years, the percentage of individuals who went to cinemas on weekends climbed by around 5%, to 45% on Saturday and 35% on Sunday. Similar, Thursday and Monday became popular among the cinema-goers, with roughly 2% more people opting for these day. Howver, fewer people tended to see movies on Tuesday, with the figure failing to, 19% and 9% respectively. Finally, there was stability, at 30%, in proportion of movie-goers choosing to go to the movie theaters on a holiday.
