The two plans illustrated the upgrades in interior design of city hospital in 2010 compared to what it was 3 years ago in 2007.
At the first glance, it is clear that the hospital’s main building was still located at the same spot. However, on its East wing, a brand new public parking area was added, separating staff and public car parks. The old parking was reserved for staffs’ vehicles only.
Next, some significant improvements have been done to assist the traffic problem in front of the hospital on Hospital Road. Not one but two roundabout were built in 2010, with one situated at the South Hospital gate right next to the staff entrance from their private parking lot and the other one is at the junction betweent Hospital and City Road. Mini bus stops used to exist along Hospital Road also conspicuously disappeared, instead a grander bus station with paths connected to both roundabouts was constructed in the Southwest corner of the hospistal, opposite the staff parking area.
To conclude, tremendous upgrades were added to the map of City Hospistal which is good to dissolve the traffic problem in the area.
