Overall, it is seen clearly that the total number of both, males and females players have been increased over time, whereas males were at the top position in this list.
To comments with, nearly 3000 male athletes have taken part in the Olympics in 1924, which was around 2900 times higher than females ones. Between 1952 to 2012, the number players of both gender increased drastically, male and female players accounted for around 6000 and 5000 respectively in 2012.
Furthermore, the line chart shows that the overall trend of total participants in the Olympics has been increased, which was at nearly 3000 players in 1924. It was rose to over 6000 players from 3000 in the following time. Surprisingly, it was inclined over 10000 players the first time since 1924 in 2012.
