The bar chart compares the time spent for cyber-communication and games consoles by 10 to 15 age profiles on a studying day in the UK.
Overall, boys playing on games console is by far more popular than the female group, but the amount of time for chatting activity is higher among girls. Both two gender groups have a tendency of spend 4 hours plus for gaming.
It is clear that male group favors playing computer games over chatting online, with approximately 85% of boys spending 4 hours and above for that activity. By constrast, the figure for girls is just over 50%, which is lower than the the average’s.
To the left side of the picture shown, we can see that girls prefer chatting on cyberspace. Particularly, nearly 70% of the female group spends mostly all day for chatting, while time spent for online conversation by males just accounted for about 55%. Also, it is noticeable that both two sexs engage playing games specifically for more than 4 hours, which is well under 10% higher than the amount of time spent for online communication.
