The graph compares the proportions of people who donating in Britain by five age groups in two years (1990 and 2010).
It is clear that while individuals in 36-50 age group had the highest donation percentage in 1990, this place changed to people aged between 51 and 65 in the year 2010. In addition, after the period of 20 years, the overall proportion of British citizens giving donation decreased.
For the 18-25 age group, while more than 16% of them donated money in 1990, by 2010, this rate had declined to only 6%. Likewise, the percentage of people aged 26 to 35 giving donation had a 7% decrease over the 20 years period to 24%. In 1990, the proportion of donation giver in the 36-50 age group was highest, at more than 40%, however, this rate then decreased dramatically to merely 35% in 2010.
For the oldest age group, the proportion of people giving money jumped slightly from 32% in 1990 to 35% in 2010. In addition, after 20 years, 51-65 age group became the highest figure in the graph. By 2010, this rate had risen to nearly 40%.
