The chart below shows the amount of leisure time enjoyed by men and women of different employment status.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.

Leisure time in a typical week in hour- by sex and employment status, 1998-99.

The bar chart provides the information about the number of free time in a typical week in hour by sex(male and female) and employment status between 1998 to 1999.

Overall, the both male and female employment had same amount trend in unemployed and retired. There is no trend in the graph for male in part-time employed and housewives. Male experienced an upward trend in full-time employed, unemployed and retired where female showed a downward trend.

On the one hand, in the full-time employed male ( around 43 hour) had upper hand than female (almost 37 hour) with more than around 5 hour. Men had same number of trend in unemployed and retired with almost 83 hours in a week. Female employment had same numbers with around 7 hours in a week.

On the other hand, in the part-time employed female had 40 hours in a week while there is no male trend. The housewives had a trend of 50 hours in a week for the female sex and male sex had no numbers.
