The line chart illustrates the amount of incidents (burglary, car theft or robbery), which were happened over 9 years from 2003 to 2012 in the inner of New Port city.
Overall, the rates of burglary decreased over period given, while for car theft and robbery it stayed on the same level. At the start of the period burglary was the most popular crime, which was replaced by car theft in the middle of 2006.
With regards to the number of burglary took place, it began less than 3500 incidents in 2003 and then peaked at around 3750 in 2004 before falling dramatically to less than 1500 incidents last year.
On the other hand, the changing rates of car theft and robbery fluctuated slightly. The number of car theft in 2003 was less than 3000, then it dropped to 2000 in 2006 and rose up to around 2750 at the end of the period. The level of robbery over period was stability, between 500 and 1000 incidents in each year.
