Overall, it is clear that people in the USA habitually ate fast food once a week and once or twice a month, especially in 2006 and 2013, the rate of consumers was the highest. While the percentage of Americans who never ate or ate fast food every day was the least. In 2003, the proportion of Americans who never consumed or consumed fast food every day was around 5%, while from 2003 to 2006, the figure of people who ate fast food was equal, with around 3% eating every day and 4% of those who never ate. Meanwhile, the contribution of people who ate several times a week or a few times a year was only 17% and 13% in 2003. At the end of the period, the figure for people who consumed fast food several times a week declined slightly to 16%, compared to the increased rate of people who ate a few times a year, at 15%.
Looking at other groups, the rate of people who ate at fast food restaurants once a week or a few times a month was the highest, around 31% and 30% respectively. Following 10 years, the percentage of people in the USA who consumed junk food decreased slightly to 27%, while the figure for people who ate a few times a month rose significantly to 35%.
