Overall, the trend of males and females subscribing for a fitness membership were both fluctuated during the aforementioned years. In addition, fitness sign-ups of both genders witnessed a decreasing trend by the end of the period.
As per the chart, from 1970 to 1975, both male and female gym-goers grow in demand for staying in shape as the number doubled: from 1000 to 2000 and from 2000 to 4000 for men and women, respectively. However, from 1980 to 1985, the number of females paying for membership soar up and nearly cross the mark of 3000 subscribers, whereas that of males decline to somewhere in the vicinity of 1900.
In the next ten years, the number of memberships signed up for by men reached the highest peak; nevertheless, females showed an oscillated feeling towards buying a fitness program as the number fluctuated during this time. By the end of the period, the buying of membership made by men hit a trough at 1000, and by women declined to 2000.
