The bar chart compares how many adults participated (in thousands) in a particular region in extreme sports in the years 1997 and 2017 respectively.
Overall, at the beginning of the period, it can be seen that involvement of elders in basketball is least in a locality, while gentle walking was the most significantly contributed. In comparison at the end of the period, the highest engagement was in gentle walking and the least was in cricket in adults. Moreover, participation over the years in Jogging, Gym(aerobics), hiking, and football were constant.
Gentle walking accounted for 50000 in 1997 and increased to 52000 elders in the year 2017. Jogging was 32,000 and slightly exceeded 33,000. At the beginning of the period, football and hiking were 33,000 & 34,000 and rose to 34,000 & 35,000 who took part in 2017.
Whereas cricket comprised almost 29,000 in 1997 and had a huge downfall by 6,000. In contrast gym(aerobics) remained constant for both the years with 35,000 participants.
