In overall, most of graduates from Canadian universities have showed an increase trend from the projected period.
New Brunswick and Nova Scotia provinces of Canada had the highest percentage of international graduates in 2001. The number of international graduates was at approximately 7% in 2001 and then it increased to reach at over 10% in 2006. On the other hand, the third highest international graduates were from Quebec university in 2001 (at above 5%) and this figure reached the fourth highest number of overseas graduates by 2006 (at around 8%).
The least popular universities were located in Ontario, Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador for 2001. The number of international students graduated from Manitoba and Newfoundland/Labrador was reached at the same level within the given period; it was at around 4% in 2001 and reached at around 7% in 2006. Whereas the number of graduates from Ontario was approximately 3% in 2001 then this figure reached to around 6% in 2006.
The most significant increment has showed with British Columbia. The number of international graduates was around 5% in 2001 then this skyrocketed to reach at above 10% by 2006. Alberta’s international graduates were reached at just below 5% in 2001 then this figure rose to well above 5% in 2006
